Ad Club Rules

On Friday evening I attended my first Creative Spark Awards dinner at the Ambassador Banquet & Conference Center.  It was the last Erie Ad Week event and I must say I was impressed.  This was the only event I could attend for the entire week but I’m definitely glad I made it.

 Christine Yamrick and her crew did a fantastic job with this event.  I was lucky enough to be sitting at a table with two winners, Amy Izbicki and Deb Weaver.  Ed Mead won the George Mead Distinguished Service Award and I was amazed to find out he had written over fifteen thousand columns since his start at Erie Times-News.  I have a hard time wrapping my brain around doing something that many times!  Congrats Amy, Deb and Ed.

I’ve been a loyal Addy Awards attendee since I started in this industry and I’ll definitely continue that tradition.  After Friday’s awards dinner I’ll start heading to more local Ad Club events too.
